The Best Song on Every Slayer Album

The thrash archdemons have 'Repentless,' their 12th studio LP since 1983, out today

    • 1983's 'Show No Mercy': "Metal Storm/Face the Slayer"

Slayer helped build the ground floor of thrash metal and have never left the building since. From 1983's Show No Mercy to 2015's Repentless—the first record since founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman's death, and the first with drummer Paul Bostaph since 2001's God Hates Us All—we painstakingly deduced the best song on each Slayer album.

Who wrote it? Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King (lyrics by Hanneman)
Do they play it live? Not since the mid-'80s (all concert information from Setlist.fm)
Show No Mercy runners-up: "Crionics," "Black Magic," "Evil Has No Boundaries"
