    Melissa Brooks and The Aquadolls Preview New EP with ‘Girl Riot’: Listen

    The song release precedes a co-headlining U.S. tour in January

    Pop-punk mainstays Melissa Brooks and the Aquadolls have returned with the righteous new single “Girl Riot,” which serves as a feminist anthem ahead of the group’s forthcoming new EP. Listen below:

    Recorded in Los Angeles, “Girl Riot” was produced and co-written by Aaron Greene, and features a more hard-hitting sound from the SoCal group. The group’s next EP quickly follows Stoked On You, their debut album released through Burger Records last December, as well as the breakout 2013 EP We Are Free.

    Brooks says of the new song, “‘Girl Riot’ is an anthem celebrating the strength and courage of any women having to fight against what society expects you to accept, whether it be wage inequality or double standard social norms.”

    Melissa Brooks and the Aquadolls will kick off the new year with a co-headlining tour alongside SWMRS. Check out the full list of January 2016 dates below:
