PUP Want Death in 'If This Tour Doesn't Kill You, I Will' Video
We can't say it enough: Canada is really kicking everyone's ass when it comes to the punk and hardcore game. (Don't believe us? Check out this list of bands that are responsible for the genres' renaissance.) One of the acts really tickling our fancy these days is Toronto's PUP. "DVP" is easily one of the best songs of the year, "If This Tour Doesn't Kill You, I Will" is a close second.
The latter has just been given a visual and it, too, might be one of the better things we've seen in 2016. In it, the guys literally try to kill each other: there's a bottle to the face, there's immolation, there's suffocation, there's a hit and run...things get brutal. It reflects the themes of the song—a thing most band's aren't really open and honest about. It's this one real issue with touring, that spending every waking hour with the same smelly people for months on end is fucking exhausting. If you've ever felt like murdering your best friends, this is the video for you.
