Lion Babe Yearns for an 'Endless Summer' on New Track: Listen

The NYC neo-soul duo rings in the season with the first song off their 'Sun Joint' mixtape

    Lion Babe

Despite the glorious weather we've been experiencing recently, summer doesn't officially begin until June 20. But Lion Babe is prepping us all for the sweltering months with their new tune, appropriately titled "Endless Summer."

Co-produced by Paul Proteus and co-written with Joel Compass (both worked on the NYC duo's Begin debut album), the fluttery neo-soul charmer finds lead vocalist Jillian Hervey singing about leaving a bad relationship behind and starting fresh: “When I die I’ll know I did it my way / I speak goodbye, the end of all the heartache.”

Combine that with cooing synths, clacking beats and wave-crashing effects, and "Endless Summer" will transport you to a beachy paradise free of boy drama and full of light. The track is the first taste of Lion Babe's forthcoming Sun Joint mixtape, which follows their Begin album release in February.
