RaeLynn on Blake Shelton & "Sister-Mom" Miranda Lambert as Mentors

'The Voice' alum also reveals how her new single "God Made Girls" was written

RaeLynn already had an incredible opportunity when making the final rounds of The Voice Season 2 on Blake Shelton's team. But the rising country sweetheart's fortunes didn't stop there with: the singer and his superstar wife Miranda Lambert took the 20-year-old under their wings!

"Blake was so sweet, he always told me that I was different," the Texas native recalls of her Voice coach. "He told me right when he met me, 'I don't care how far you make it, I'm going to help you because I think you are so special and I don't want you to ever change.' So, he and Miranda have been mentoring me for a couple years now."

That mentorship has led to RaeLynn opening for the Lambert's tour with Dierks Bentley. "I call her my mom, but she didn't like that so I call her Sister-Mom," RaeLynn gushes about the "Something Bad" songstress. "She's awesome!"

Alongside Lambert, the young singer's picked up a few crazy tour stories. "We totally watched this fan propose to his girlfriend at her meet-and-greet," RaeLynn recalls. "He was like, 'In the presence of RaeLynn, Miranda and Dierks Bentley, I want to ask you to be my wife!' I was like, 'Oh my gosh, this a really sentimental moment and we are just all chilling right here. I guess this is fine?' That was pretty random."
