Sure having Lil Wayne as your dad sounds like the coolest thing ever. But his daughter Reginae Carter—currently prepping her debut album Becoming Reginae featuring the song "Mind Goin Crazy"—tells us he's just like any other dorky dad. And that includes him being a nervous wreck as his first kid learns to drive.
"Now that I just got my permit, I did get to ride with both my mom and my father," the 15-year-old Carter kid says. "When I went to Miami, I begged him all week. I was like 'Daddy, are you gonna let me ride with you?!'"
Weezy of course obliged for his little girl. "I drove him around, but he was like, 'Baby! Baby, watch out! Watch out! You gotta turn right here!'" she recalls with a perfect Wayne impression. "He kept telling me to switch lanes, and then he'd say, 'Oh no, that's not the one you turn on!'"
And like most parents, Wayne isn't hip to all social media just yet.
"I did ask him if he had an Instagram, and he was like, 'I'm not sure. What's that? Who's that?'" the Young Money signee recalls. "I'm like, 'You don't know Instagram?!' But he's good at Twitter. The other day, he was like, 'I saw you retweet this.' And I'm like, 'How did you know that?' He was like, 'I know everything you do!'"
