Teyana Taylor Talks Kanye West, Collaborating With Chris Brown

Teyana Taylor is on the rise, and she's ready to take over. Her debut album, VII, has already caught the attention of hip hop's A-list, including Chris Brown. "'Do Not Disturb' is one of my favorite records, so I was like, 'Okay, I need to get Chris on this,'" the singer told Fuse. "It's that mellow record that we can still do some dope choreography to, so that made it very, very exciting."

The collaborations don't end there. "Yo GottiPusha T... I needed them on the album," she said. "The moment I heard 'Maybe,' I was like, 'I need that move that dope verse from Pusha.' Gotti was just the perfect balance because the song was so South to me. 'Brokenhearted Girl' with Fabolous... who else than Fabulous to be on a record like that. He gave me that hungry Fab."

The result is a pretty sultry album. "Everything is more on the slow and mid side; definitely want to keep it sexy," Taylor explained. "I want that album you can clean up to, the album you can make love to, the album you can just relax to, the album you can match your outfit to... I defintely want to keep it nice and mellow and relaxing."
