Marina & the Diamonds Gets "Blue" at the Amusement Park in New Video

The Welsh singer unveils a whimsical visual despite the song's complicated lyrics

Update (7/16): It's here! Marina and the Diamonds' new music video for "Blue" sees the star lamenting a complicated relationship during a thrilling amusement park visit.

The singer juxtaposes the track's complex lyrics ("I'm bored of everything of we do / But I just keep coming back to you for one more night") while eating cotton candy, riding bumper cars and spraying silly string. Watch till the very end to see the singer bust out some choreography in one of the few vids for which the singer has showed off her dance skills.

Read on for more about why we think "Blue" could be Marina's breakout pop hit from her excellent new album Froot.

Original Story (7/14): Marina and the Diamonds is still blasting forward with the successful Froot, the Welsh singer's first Top 10 album in America. Now Marina is prepping the fifth music video from the LP, this one for the bouncy pop cut "Blue." It looks set to be her most whimsical visual in years.

In the quick clip, we see M hanging in a colorful amusement park that boasts cotton candy, a roller disco and Marina and the Diamonds-branded bumper cars. We also see the star playing a chic fortune teller, draped in a gypsy ensemble with a crystal ball by her side.

While Marina has yet to snatch a major breakout single in the U.S., "Blue" may be her best bet. The catchy pop gem is her fifth most popular song on Spotify (with nearly 3 million listens) despite not having any sort of promotional push or accompanying video.

The video drops this week, so at best it could catapult the star to landing a sizable hit. At worst, we at least will have another incredible visual from the artist whose YouTube page is a must-subscribe. While you're waiting for the full vid, listen to "Blue" in full below:
