'Crate Diggers' Explores The Man Behind DJ Day

The Palm Springs musician never had a career Plan B and believes in fully pursuing your passions

"I am a DJ-producer-musician dude from Palm Springs, California."

The latest episode of Crate Diggers introduces viewers to none other than DJ Day, a vinyl lover and industry veteran who has been around since the mid-'90s. Sitting down with show host Anthony Valadez, Day revealed the secret to becoming a great DJ—having an open mind and following your heart.

"If you like country music or whatever the hell it is, there's gonna be a lane for that. They're gonna appreciate you for being honest with your actual soul coming out through that," he said.

The father of two, who now travels the world for gigs, essentially had no back-up plan when it came to his career. Expressing how fortunate he is to be here, Day joked that he's "still doing what he did when he was 13."
