Meet the Panel of 'Absolute Hip Hop: From Tupac to 2 Chainz'


Jersey native DJ Bobby Trends has engraved his brand into the New York hip hop scene, perfecting his craft at local parties before opening for Cipha Sounds and Funkmaster Flex, gigs that eventually led to worldwide shows and Trends' own show on HOT 97, Shakin the Block. In addition to touring with Busta Rhymes and Jim Jones, Trends has hosted gigs at NBC, ESPN and SPIKE TV and even launched an event company, TRENDSLIFE, collaborating with Jay ZNicki MinajDiddySwizz Beatz and Rick Ross.

Trends currently produces music projects for DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group and continues to host Shakin the Block Saturdays 12AM - 2AM and Sundays 7PM - 9PM.


Valerie Lora is a host and television producer whose dynamic personality has led her career from producing shows on national TV to hosting shows on award-winning networks. After studying communications and television production at William Paterson University, she worked as a production assistant at BET Networks on Rap City and 106 & Park, as well as produced shows for MTV, Fuse and Nickelodeon. She later joined forces with the New York-based DGI Management, an artist management company that offered her an opportunity to tour the world. In addition to maintaining a successful video blog that receives thousands of hits, Valerie currently hosts Jump Off TV's Friday Hip Hop Report web show and co-hosts Showoff Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45.


Brian "B.Dot" Miller is a journalist from Queens, New York. A graduate of Delaware State University, he has written for XXLThe Source, VIBE, RIDES and Essence. Currently Content Director at Rap Radar and an on-air personality for Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45, B.Dot was featured by Complex as one of "10 Music Industry Heads Who Should Be A&Rs."


A former senior writer for MTV News, Jayson Rodriguez has covered hip hop, R&B and pop culture for over a decade and has interviewed the likes of DrakeKanye West and Dr. Dre. In 2007, MTV deemed his sit-down with Jay Z one of the year's 10 best interviews. In addition to writing for television, Jayson has contributed to Billboard, Complex and Rolling Stone. From May 2011 to December 2012, he served as executive editor at XXL magazine.
