Priests, Vivian Girls Members Star in Aidy Bryant's 'Darby Forever' Trailer

You know what's really cool? When the mainstream pop culture world and the punk world collide...as long as it's done in a smart, interesting way. It worked for Portlandia, and it's apparently working here: Saturday Night Live actress Aidy Bryant recently directed and starred in a Vimeo short film called Darby Forever that features some pretty cool artists.

The song used in the trailer above is none other than Priests' “Modern Love/No Weapon," one of the most powerful, politically charged tunes from the 2014 debut full-length Bodies and Control and Money and Power.

The actual clip focuses on some of the coolest musicians around: Ex-Vivian Girls members Katy Goodman and Ali Koehler play bad girl backups to actress Natasha Lyonne in one scene. (We should also mention that Koehler is currently the frontwoman of L.A. band Upset, which features Patty Schemel of Hole fame on the drums.)
