DMA's Covers Madonna's 'Beautiful Stranger' for BBC Radio 1: Listen

Rising Brit pop/rock trio DMA's (who actually hail from Sydney) are still continuing to make a name for themselves in the industry—and what better way to do that than by covering an underrated Madonna classic?

The guys stopped by Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show today to perform a few songs, but the main highlight was their rendition of Madge's "Beautiful Stranger" from the 1999 Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack.

The original is a catchy dance-pop record, and DMA's take its atmospheric underbelly and transform "Beautiful Stranger" into a spacey haze that's a little bit Oasis with a touch of The Smiths.

Ironically enough, the explicitly blunt Noel Gallagher reportedly stated he has not heard of the Sydney band, who cite Oasis as a major influence. Click here to listen to DMA's "Beautiful Stranger" cover over at BBC Radio 1 (it begins around the 20:18 mark).
