2013 was a breakout year for Chicago-based rapper Rockie Fresh. The Maybach Music Group signee released three mixtapes, including his own Electric Highway and Fresh Veggies, a collaboration with Odd Future affiliate Casey Veggies.
In this new episode of Fuse Follows, Rockie lets us tag along for a day out in New York City, where he spends time doing press at VIBE, trying on hats and shoes in Soho and hitting a late night recording session.
Rockie also explains why he avoids writing down his lyrics. "Writing rhymes, you gotta think of it before you pin it down, you gotta tell your mind to move your hand and write it," he explains. "So I figure it's quicker process for me to come up with it and just go straight into the booth."
Bonus: Watch closely and you'll spot Rockie coming across his very own Puma commercial ... while he's in the Puma store! Meta moment.
