Fitz and The Tantrums on Sexy New 'Handclap' Single: Interview

Fitz and the Tantrums are prepping for the release of their self-titled third album, which is lead by the jamming "HandClap" single. Band members Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs stopped by FM to discuss the the meaning behind the track.

Calling the song "totally primal," Fitzpatrick said:

"It's sexual, it's about desire. It's that late night, doing bad things and the walk of shame in the morning. But it's also sort of embodied with this touch of melancholy, your sadness or loneliness and wanting to feel you have that connection with somebody. You go out looking for that connection and sometimes it can take you down a dark road."
